Prepare for Black Week

Ahead of Black Week (and Christmas) 2025

Black Week falls between 24–30 November (week 48). It is usually a clear start to the hectic period for companies, transporters and drivers.

Start by planning

To ensure a smooth delivery that arrives on time, it is important to plan in advance. Contact us and book a meeting with our customer developers to go through what you can do to secure the freight ahead of the period. You will receive clear information, especially about delivery times for shipments with time-critical requirements.

"You can't protect yourself against everything, but it is important to be prepared so as not to be affected too much by the increased loads and volumes of goods that are out and about," says Marcus, customer developer at Shiplink, who has extensive experience in freight and knows what problems can arise when the pace is picked up in the enormous flow of packages and pallets.

Delivery times

The week after Black Week and up until Christmas, it is common for delivery times to be slightly longer than usual, especially for shipping services to drop-off points and home deliveries. Delivery times are usually not expected to increase by more than 1–2 days, but may in some cases be more days.

☝️Please note that all delivery times, regardless of service and delivery method, are estimates and should be seen as guidelines. This means that we cannot guarantee or offer financial compensation for delayed transport.

Express alternatives mean that the goods are prioritized when reloading and can arrive faster. This also means that when a lot of express goods are sent, economy goods often have to wait longer before they arrive.

In connection with increased volumes, delivery points and parcel boxes may become full. This may mean that another nearby agent or another parcel box is selected for delivery. Read more about how long goods remain in delivery racks/parcel boxes.

Dates

We have compiled some benchmarks for delivery before Christmas. The dates indicate the latest collection date for your shipment to maximize the chance of it being delivered before Christmas. Please note that these are guidelines; we cannot guarantee exact delivery times or predict resource availability and weather conditions.

Import & Export within Europe and worldwide

Due to varying demand, several countries may have reduced capacity and fewer departures to and from Sweden. Contact us for an estimate of delivery date to or from your destination.

☝️ Departures between countries often do not occur between Christmas and New Year, especially for pallet goods. Goods sent after the last departure before Christmas may remain at the terminal until the next departure after New Year. In some cases, shipments may be refused loading or cancelled for late bookings, meaning you will need to rebook when traffic resumes.

  • Increased risk of damage: With increased volumes, the risk of damage also increases. Be careful with packaging and follow the regulations, even when it is hectic.
  • Notices: Many people work in different locations and many offices close before Christmas. Consider special booking options to ensure smooth deliveries.
  • Unexpected events: Clearly marked goods (e.g. stickers and tape with logo) help the carrier if address labels are damaged. An extra address label in the box can be crucial.
  • Damaged goods: Notify Shiplink customer service within seven days of receipt if the goods have been damaged.
  • Label printer: Clean the printer. A dirty label printer can make the labels unreadable for the carriers' scanners.
  • Information: Inform colleagues, sellers and recipients that delivery times may be longer to set the right expectations.
