Important information when shipping to and from trade fairs


Before booking shipping to or from a trade fair, congress, or similar event, it is important to understand how deliveries are handled on site. Always check with the event organizer for the specific rules that apply to your event. Below are general guidelines.


📌 Delivery to a trade fair

  • The pickup and delivery dates shown at the time of booking are the earliest possible dates and are not guaranteed (delays may occur due to weather, traffic, illness, etc.).
  • For deliveries to trade fairs, it is recommended to book with delivery notification and provide the mobile number of a dedicated contact person on site who can receive the shipment.
  • Deliveries to businesses are normally made between 07:00 and 17:00 (7 AM–5 PM). Make sure to confirm opening hours with the venue’s goods reception before booking.


📌 Pickup from a trade fair

  • The pickup date is not guaranteed. Check with the organizer how long they can store the goods if the carrier is unable to collect them on the scheduled day.
  • Goods will not be collected from the exhibition floor. They must be easily accessible at the loading dock or goods dispatch area, clearly labeled, and fitted with shipping labels.
  • The name of the trade fair must be stated as the sender on the shipping label. Also provide your booth number so we can include it.
  • For larger shipments (freight/part loads), loading assistance must be booked through the event organizer, and you must inform us accordingly.
  • Pack the goods carefully. Ensure they are properly protected for transport—even under time pressure—to reduce the risk of damage and additional costs. The carrier may refuse to load poorly packed goods.
  • Be aware that the venue may charge additional fees if the goods are not collected on time.
  • Pickup normally takes place between 07:00 and 17:00 (7 AM–5 PM).
